Seasonal Apocalypse

Seasonal Apocalypse

A Poem by Matt Artis
"

Just a little yuletide poem.

"

Take heed the warning

Humanities end is coming

The undead hordes are amassing

Snarling as they’re passing

Ripping, tearing, eviscerating

An inhuman tsunami, completely devastating

Gnashing Teeth, clawing hands

Survivors forming ragtag bands

Escaping a ravenous hunger without reason

Tis the f*****g christmas season

I have read this several times now, even read it to my wife and she liked the quirk also. Apart from that I like the structure of the poem, ie, the rhyming couplets and it rolls off the tongue with ease. The content is powerful also. I had to rate it again because It's such good satire.

Ha, ha, l like it. I didn't get the message until the very last line. I thought I was reading about a devestating apocalypse on mankind until the punchline. Very cleverly written.
