eternity explained.

eternity explained.

A Poem by h d e rushin

My X
says that if she didn't dye her hair this golden monocotyledonous eelgrass

and if the wind did not weave the gray, greige leftover baby-hairs
into the dried stems of the Blues

that she would come back to me, when dead,
as the witch of energy to loot my pampered existence

and to scratch to bleeding whatever left over poems from my eyes. Well,
I really don't need that s**t to happen. So if

I see her as the auburn-blond Beyonce'
with those edible breasts, who's breath just happens to stink

in the terrycloth housecoat, splitting my
all-beef kielbasa into quarters. And if her

toes are splayed in her Bullwinkle house shoes
with the moose missing an eye,

then i have learned to disregard the dreams
i deem eternal.

Nothing more heartbreaking than a relationship gone to hell ...

Halitosis is a frightful thing...and Bullwinkle house shoes conjured many pleasant memories. "Hey Rocky!! Watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat!!! Gotta get myself a new hat!" enjoyed this in it's every entirety, length, breadth, depth...and humour.

thank you dearest Alan.....for those kind words...dana
Looking in the mirror that's what. Each time we pass a tiny little piece of us is transferred and remains there for all eternity.

And dreams are never to be disregarded.

Beccy.

one of the very first poems I have read from you h d e and now I am cursed to read you even more.. (this is a good curse by the way) damn, and here I thought I had X difficulties... seems like you haunt each other still and it has already been an eternity... double damn... love those Bullwinkle slippers by the way, fortunately mine have both eyes... lol.. it's my Rocky flying hat that is a bit frayed... the X stomped on it a few times.. anyway, a delightfully witchy poem and I do believe you will bleed more poetry from those eyes of yours... and I will enjoy reading them...

The power of those that choose not to let go and in turn want us to pay for what ever it is that they are feeling is an unfortunate aspect of life sometimes and often one sided.

i spent many years cursing witchcraft, but i think there is something eternal in the curse as much as the dream

Wow, so poetically inclined to be a vision of absconder, the bewitchment of the feeling, I really feel into the environment of the feeling that expresses a lifetime, of grief, learning and moving on. So poetic and powerful!

Michael X, thank you my friend for stopping by to visit me....love you...dana
'.. 'she would come back to me, when dead, ~ as the witch of energy to loot my pampered existence.. '

Part of me read the above, eyebrows raised in sordid surprise. 'What the diddledy dum ?!' The slightly larger half of me - if you know what i mean, laughed, seeing the hair, shoes and unusual cerebral dimensions of a figure once beloved and desired but now returning to haunt your heartbeats.

Why do you ever bewilder but bewitch my innocent mind, poet!
