When Haiku takes a little longer to absolve.

When Haiku takes a little longer to absolve.

A Poem by h d e rushin

My sister took the scissors and cut her hair in the back.
Fucked it up really
"Is it straight! did I get the ends straight"
she asked me?
We have learned to speak to our
bodies like this - try it yourself -
the tongue can give the language of prolonged crookedness
the power to speak/
o've the years; wanting the sky to be full
of sun, not the love angels
of the usual archives. The scar on her shoulder
where Danny pulled a clump out with his fist in a rage.
She runs to the bathroom as if she is flying. The air
fills with the sound of the toilet flushing.
No one talks about it for a month.
Danny dies of heart disease.
