Take Me Back

Take Me Back

A Poem by Duke Teager

I was, for once, at complete peace
And for once, there was a silence
And then, it was as if we were weightless
As if we never carried a single burden
There's no rule to hold you down, in here
There are no words to explain the freedom
No insecurity or concern on anything near
Were none and no need for any leader
We were so joyful and at play
We were one and we were equal
I was so excited and ready to stay
I wish I had never awakened.

brilliant! carefree, commitment-free, in the womb, after death, ready to engage conception, after disengaging mortal contract.. a lot run through my meek brain as I read this short stanza.. simply superb!
