Wait for Me...

Wait for Me...

A Poem by Jeremy V Chiew

There are times I lose my way,
Down this road of hindered sight,
And you take my hand and say,
Everything will be alright.

I may be having a s****y day,
When nothing I want is going right,
But you take my hand and say,
Everything will be alright.

Some days I pray
To see your light,
And you take my hand and say,
Everything will be alright.

You may have gone away,
But I promise never to stray.
Though we may never be husband and wife,
Please wait for me in the afterlife.

I love the simplicity and feel about this. How you can write out how you feel so easily is refreshing

Thank you for the refreshing compliment.
The last line was a little too over-dramatic for me. Good poem though.
