The Spy

The Spy

A Poem by eatmills

I tried to do it your way

I tried but I was scared

You wanted me to stay

You wanted me to care

I developed a sound

I enveloped the ground

You held me tight

Said it was right

Fear is what you had shown

Your cover had been blown

Your lies I knew,

You could not tell the truth

As I felt your last breath

And watched the final

Heave of your chest

My mission vital

As I leave you in the dark
