My Heart and Yours

My heart sometimes feels cold and jaded. I have a hard time finding the warmth inside. Sometimes it burns those I love.

Why do you sit and stare into this dark void
What beauty do you see when all is dead in me
You say you love me but I don't see how
How can you love a heart so dark and dour
Even you have felt my sting
And I have caused your heart to bleed
Why you stay I am not sure
When my heart is far from pure
I'm afraid you'll die beside me
That I'll drag you under earth
And that your heart so full of kindness
Will drown in my darkness full of hurt

Interesting how at first you say that "all is dead in me" but then even you feel fear for them when you say, " I'm afraid you'll die beside me." Maybe I thought too much of it however no matter how cold one may appear to be or say, subtle things somehow say otherwise. Being hurt is different from being indifferent and cold. Perhaps vent on the words unspoken that you seem to have hinted in this poem.

Ah, but then again this is just my own interpretation. Maybe I was thinking too much of it. Lol.
