Not really sure where this came from. Was in a rather dark place.

I am the monster that lurks within
Bathing in your very own sins
I am the tears you try to hide
That you won't show because of pride
I am the cold that seeps beneath your skin
Trapping all your worries within
I am the silence that rings in your ears
Encasing inside all of your fears
I am the darkness that covers your eyes
Allowing you to live with your lies
I am the whisper that you hear
That tells you death is near
