Fox in Sox Version 2.0

Fox in Sox Version 2.0

A Poem by EchoJay
"

A little fun with the Fox in Socks book. I was challeneged once to come up with a random poem about socks... I figured this would win that challenege.

"
I prefer my socks not on fox.
If Knox stands on fox in my socks...
well, I just may end up losing my rocks.
I would feel much better if fox stood on a box,
yes, the box is on Knox and my socks still on fox.

My foxy socks have nothing to do with chicks with bricks and blocks
Nor does it have the same genre as chicks with clicks on clocks.
For the sake of this poem we will stick with Mr. Knox trying to take my socks.
I hope Dr. Seuss can forgive my knocks on his books with fox with a clock that tocks.

Mr. Knox may want my socks, but the interruption of a quick trick brick stack
is ruining the rhythm of my wise crack back sack.
So I say we continue with the socks that were left on the fox...
OR.....

Instead we can make a sock tick tock,
we just need a chick with a click-clock.

Let's put the socks on the chicks, Mr knox on the box...
Fox in the box with a couple bricks and blocks!

I know what you're thinking, the socks can't fit the chicks nor the fox...
and we can't keep moving Mr. Knox in and out of the box...

Time for some new socks! Let's get two socks!
We won't have to buy any new socks, Mr. Knox knows someone who stocks socks!

Sue isn't sewing any socks for fox.
She is gone for the day, "Be Back Tomorrow" reads her box.

This is beginning to be no fun, slow Joe Crow needs some clothes,
no one can make his clothes that fit around his nose.
Crow's nose grows quicker than the miracle grow rose.
Crow's nose now has to pose with bare toes.

We could give Joe Crow some of Fox's socks.
If only we didn't accidentally leave them in the box.
Maybe Mr. Knox can go and get them... kick rocks!
I'm sure he'll decline - Joe Crow mocks.

There is that gooey goo meant for chewy chewing...
but socks that have chew goo will make this poem need reviewing!
We could chew the goo, it seems to be what Goo-Goose is doing!
Skip these ideas, the holes just need some good glueing.

To patch the socks that fox is wearing,
Mr. Knox kept on staring.
He knew of two men...
Mr. Bim and Mr. Ben.

Bim and Ben led with bands
Bim and Ben were holding hands
Bim and Ben weren't glueing stands
Bim and Ben were counting sands!

I am getting frustrated watching Bim lead big bands with brooms!
I am getting frustrated watching Ben lead pig bands with booms!
Pig Bands and Big bands, Ben's Bands and Bim's Bands...
I am done with you tongue-twisting groupies with no fans!

Socks with holes will have to do
Even with Slow Joe's toe's with goo.
Without the socks this search has me blue.
Come on fox and Mr. Knox, your as glum as me too.

Fox wants socks,
So do the chicks with clocks,
to stop all this ticking and tocking
may we borrow, perhaps, your stocking?

Well, I can't make an elaborate comment; this isn't that kind of poem. But it was fun to read; very nice wording and rhthym.
