Daydream.

Daydream.

''You asked me what you mean to me, my darling you are my poetry''-Nikita Gill

"
He sits across from me,
Eyes turned towards the pages,
Infatuated by his favourite story,
His mind wondering.
His blue eyes,
Blue pools I have frequently drowned in,
And yet survived.
I am struck by a new wave,
A tsunami of feeling overcomes my mind,
Will i survive this drowning?
My lungs gasp for air as i picture Monday mornings,
Spent in our bed,
Entangled in one another,
His blue eyes welcoming me to the shores.
Then the wave hits one last time.
He sits across from me,
Eyes turned towards the pages.
I am infatuated in my favourite story,
My mind wonders.
