resurrection

resurrection

A Poem by Ed Hart
"

i see the adds for the dysfunctional correction, and i wonder where all that dysfunction lies

"

old whirling world

spins the senses

delivering life's cornucopia

advertently including

significant anothers

therein lies the rubbing

cuz the brethren

hormonally enhanced

grow antlers in their aura

and hope the lady

of the longhouse

will be delighted

at that thing

"(A)dvertently including" made me sit up and take notice (half-pun intentional). It's a curious notion how our heads crave a certain monogamous constancy while areas due south of there would have it somewhat differently, and I am left to ponder if an epiphany or resurrection lasting longer than, say, four hours is a reason to seek medical attention.

I like this a lot too, but do not have the words...love first stanza, but all is good!

Oh how you can make me chuckle and wince in the same breath. Double entendre shakespearily apt.
Also I swoon for wk's mind, I too wish to hear that clever voice.

Being female...............Most of us ladies are NOT delighted. 4 hours is a bit to long........lol. You know what they say nothing is as good as the real thing! Well expressed.

"advertently including/significant anothers"
that really caught my attention...

those hormones get out of control...and the man tries so hard to impress the woman...

and that is the rub...because often she is not impressed at all...and he ends up alone in his own woods.

'dysfunctional correction.' Hmm, methinks those words are little more than a disingenuous sop to those who wish to stay twenty one forever; although of course science is merely science, whereas the heart is the hub of the universe.

I emailed this to my father earlier and I sensed his nod of approval as he read. :))

Is this really a poem i should be reading at 04.00 , Tuesday?! Been trying to relax, thought a few minutes perusal of calm, beautiful words might do the trick.. but hey, you and your imagination have played a trick on me, Sir Hart. Shame on you.. for writing such a unique soliloquy to need
