A Poem by Ed Hart

it would be nice

not to be bent

like this tree

carrying the curve of the hill

the wind does it

or someone in childhood

who plants fear in our roots

it would be nice

to disappear

into a woman's heart

dancing can do it

until we call for more wine

to fuel our crowded feet

no sense wanting

what wasn't made or graced

it's just i can't help noticing

this old world growing older

It would be nice . There may be no sense to the wanting yet desire fuels us does it not? And sometimes if we are lucky the outcome may be some beautiful poetry like this. Nice to see you!

Nice to see a face to the work. So that's what a poet looks like! Lol jk.

hearing a poets voice is like hearing the alumnus speak from a soul whos school is steeped with amulet's. I use to ride by the UofM campus and imagine my hands running thru the ivy of the towers,
tracing the inscription that were never meant to be read by me. Too bad and too late, I would shout to myself, even today. Words, if you can display them, if you can imagine their conditions, are meant for everybody..I mean, not their appeal but their essence /
thank you my friend for the many inspirations...dana

How lovely to hear you articulate your beautiful poems; I was enthralled as I listened.

Always you make me feel what you write, but listening to you added immensely to my enjoyment.

Of them all, 'Fisherman,' was my favourite.

' it would be nice - to disappear - into a woman's heart '... such beautiful words.

Methinks you've disappeared into a great many hearts, Sir Hart..

And the world lives on and on while we tarry along with it and get by the best we can; rather nice to dance and enjoy the wine as one braces for the gales of life.

Those bent trees that influence out moments, a womans heart and a mans can come together in this way as well.
