Fear

A Poem by Margaret

Fear

Fear can be like a tornado
It can easily consume us
Causing us not to achieve our goals.

Fear can be like a black hole
Where we climb in
Hiding from the pain of rejection

Fear can be like a brick wall
When we hit it head on
We become totally paralyzed

Fear is an emotion
Which feeds upon itself
But only if we let it

Don't let fear destroy you
The goals you want to achieve
The life that is yours to live

Well said, my friend. I think most of us can relate to this as we all have felt the grip of fear in one way or another. While it may seem crippling to some, others seem to thrive on it, always pushing themselves to get past it. So, we have a choice: we can allow it to hold us back; or we can use the adrenaline rush it triggers as a catalyst to spur us on. Thank you for sharing your insight with us.
