Boken TrustA Poem by E. JorgensenBetrayal from those we thought were there for us till the end is heart-wrenching and unforgivable. How do I know that what you say is true? It’s your word that I trusted, you who I thought I knew. I believed you were honest, would never hurt me again. I tried to hold on, slipping grasp falling when You stabbed my back with a blade dipped in hate, I suppose it was never meant to be, perhaps it was fate. I tried to forgive you, hopping you had now changed. But I found myself falling; we’re too much now estranged. Why did you do this? Why do I care? I thought you had promised, I thought that you couldn’t bare to lose me. I see now, though it hurts, that we’re through I guess just because someone says something- It doesn’t make it true. © 2014 E.
