A Child- Little Miracles

A Child- Little Miracles

A Poem by Elizabeth Carter
"

I don't know which title I like more... So I just put them both!!

"

A river…

Cleanses the world

Of imperfection and sin.

The sun…

Shines little rays of sunshine

On the darkest of days.

A snowflake…

Drops with purity

On the coldest of palms.

The wind…

Moves  forward

When everything seems stuck.

A rock…

Stands strong and sure

When nothing else can be relied on.

A child…

Is as all of these

Bringing little miracles to each day.

A child is so innocent, loving, and forgiving, and I couldn't think of a better way to portray that than through nature! Hope you like it!

Your words give out a vibe of purity and innocence. Everything is a miracle to the eyes of a child. How very beautiful. If only we could be more like children and see the beauty in everyday things. Age makes us bitterer. What I would not give to see this world again through the eyes of a child. This poem reminded me of that. Keep writing. X
