The Emotional Cost of Lust

The Emotional Cost of Lust

A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

Don't engage if you can't pay the cost

"

BREATHLESSLY

She took me as I lay naked on her floor.

SILENTLY

I searched for words, but could only mutter:  MORE!

SHAMELESSLY

She slid on to me and I instinctually caressed her breasts.

TENACIUOSLY

I was yanked into her rhythm; mindlessly calling her:

                                    THE BEST!

HELPLESSLY

I begged her to take everything that my virgin body could spill.

REGRETFULLY

I allowed her to steal my heart and leave me without her love or my free will.
