A mother's pride when her child suceeds.

                                   DIGNITY

Dignity is yours my child and pride in you is mine

            so continue to stand tall!

Walk with pride in your heritage, to which you lay claim

             but moreso whom you became.

From humble beginings you might have hailed

but you worked tirelessly through the ranks to find fame.

Life is a competitive arena frought with strife and pain,

        without which at times there is no gain.

We can surpass that...

through it all we can stand proud, withstand the lot

secure in the knowledge that our God is by our side

              and with us will always abide.

If we can but square those shoulders and stand tall

My child, you could have been wild...

but you stood firm and with pride and faith in a fair 

                 and reliable master.

Very nice; how fine and satisfying to raise a child who becomes a Godly man or woman.
I noticed the use of the word 'abide'.
This is one of my favorite words of faith.
It has such a deep connotation of obedience and a humble, willing attitude.
You should be proud.

Some mothers, depending on their own parents are reluctant to show emotions. I am sure she loves you as much as your sister. I'll have to 'adopt' you lol.

I'm afraid this is not the case with my mother dear Kitty, but it's been the same since I was a little so I don't really care abut it anymore. Lesa (from WN) have adopted me once, now You too, two most wonderful mothers! why not lol
