"I Am" poem

I am a complex puzzle.

I have scattered thoughts

I wonder if what I’m waiting for is ever going to happen

I hear power in silence, peace in music, and beauty in words

I see everyone always in a whirlwind of confusion

I am a complex puzzle.

I feel a craving for adventure

I dream of freedom

I want to be more than another brick in the wall

I cry when I realize how fast life is passing

I fear there’s not enough time to experience all it has to offer

I worry my heart is always too hungry for more

I am a complex puzzle.

I understand that all decisions have an effect

I pretend I don’t over think every one

I try to let the past make me better

I say to always keep your mind open

I notice fragile, empty hearts that are too hesitant to grow

I hope others will break the mold society has placed on us
