The Gap

A poem about gaps and feelings.

There is a gap.

There is a gap between who I am,

and the person I want to be.

There is a gap between the people I love,

and the people who love me.

There is a gap between the God I proclaim,

and the words that I speak.

I try to hang on to both sides,

but the gap is too deep.
