Your words are an Equation

A free-write kind of poem, where I just let my mind wander and rhyme. I think I might have been having a particularly bad day in math.

your words are an equation

perpendicular and straight

and confusing, eloquently

moving through the veins

of retribution, am I stupid?

am I stupid? sweet scents

of money well spent on a

head full of numbers

designed to be sent to a

computer, a machine of

a silvery glean of time and

philosophy and stranger things.

your words are an equation,

and I guess I’m failing this class.

If you’d speak a little slower

I’d be able to pass.
