Dreaming Of The Indian Ocean

Dreaming Of The Indian Ocean

A Poem by danielle.

With the dying breath of summer’s sun

The wind exhales her reply:

Come

The molten horizon beckons now, urging:

Immerse yourself in my liquid depths

Be my ebb and flow

Allow me to wash the flesh from your bones

I can cure your unknowns

Let me free you for a moment

Into silence only

Come

I always love reading about physical surroundings in areas that are different from what I know. Here the Pacific Ocean is ice-cold year-round becuz of a deep trench off the California coast. So it's unusual to imagine an ocean that beckons, as you've described so gracefully & longingly here. Reading this makes me want to dive into a more balmy ocean of healing waters! *smiles* Fondly, Margie

Interesting write, 'Elle.

Concisely describing the seductive call of the ocean, beckoning us all to drown our troubles in her comforting depths.

I like the style of this piece; the minimalism with which it is written. Nice work.

Merry Christmas to you and best wishes for the festive season.
