The Gull and The Clam

A very short poem.

The night sea sails upon the silver moon

as the miserable gull cries for it’s lost clam.

The waves still as the sea sleeps

as the clam drifts to where he last swam.

I really like the imagery used un this piece.
And there seems to be a bit of alliteration in the first lines of both stanzas. I'm a sucker for alliteration.

Once again, amazing imagery, the image of the sea and the moon perfect. I can hear the gull squawking and complaining about it's lost clam and just see the clam lazily drifting to the ocean floor. Amazing. Truly amazing. You are truly talented.

How we long for what we lose... It leaves our hunger crying out... Wonderful piece. A joy to read. Often we take for granted what we hold in our hands. Never realizing the importance of such, until we drop it. Outstanding, with so few words.

this poem is whimsical and lighthearted, a fun and colored reading,
as i am sure alot of folks enjoy the nature of such environments
