For A Distane Love...

For A Distane Love...

A Poem by CircusNerd

Can you believe that I can sit here and try to cry

And not feel the tears flow

But feel my heart being ripped shred by shred

Without knowing where to go

And feel your pain from the other side

Though we haven't actually talked

And feel the things you're feeling now

And see the path you've walked

Distances have always been an issue

What there once was, is now gone

But these miles won't keep us held apart

And together we'll grow strong

So you've claimed to catch me when I fall

Then you should trust me to do the same

Because love has no written boundaries

No limits like a game

And we live in a lively, moving world

Not a single, limited frame

First, the rhyme scheme is effective. Ususally, writers encounter stilted lines when rhyming. That is why I have decided to steer clear of rhyme schemes. In any event, this poem displays a deep sense of longing. Moreover, the line: "Distances have always been an issue" is definitely relatable. Not necessarily in the literal sense. Overall, this was one of my favorite poems on here. Keep it coming. I hope to return soon. Check out my writings...

I like the complex message you convey with this poem. It read very creatively. Nice! This poem inspires and leaves a lasting impression even after I am done rating it. Fantastic jon the rhyme scheme was done very well.
