Our Death In Our Hands

Our Death In Our Hands

A Poem by unspokenguilt
"

when it seemed living was a curse and death was a gift these two made a wish

"

it's a tick

it's an itch

it's a this and a that

you pull my hair

call me names

and you play many games

when will i just see the truth

all the things you say

all the things you do

set me free, oh set me free

you'll be quick

you'll be brief

come on and

say what you mean

no more games

don't be lame

come on and...

set me free, oh set me free

pierce me sharp

slice me through

show me what you can do

here and now

i'll hold my breath

and you...

set me free, oh set me free

a dying wish

a simple twist

a blade of shine

a slit of wrist

set me free, oh set me free

draw a breath

and do it quick

this one's your last

this will be slick

i'll set you free, yeah i'll set you free

close your eyes

and hope you drown

this is our pact

a note you found

we're finally free, yeah finally free

and you can't harm me

i love this one. very creative. i love the repetition, the rhyme flow is perfect.
"a dying wish

a simple twist

a blade of shine

a slit of wrist" i think everyone has had moments of wishing for death, for peace that comes with it. This is simply written, yet very powerful. i love it.

I really liked this poem, the pacing really helped to set the overall tone. Also I could really feel the emotion. It has a rhythm and intensity that really helps to understand what you are feeling. Great job.
