Yes, it was inspired when i read that there are some writers here that might publish your work where they are. it was disheartening because i felt we were family. :(

yes...it is disheartening ... i am too old to care a whole lot myself .. and have no intentions of publishing anything .. so i lean toward Thomas Jeffersons words on it that i quoted in my about me ... something to the effect that if someone lights their candle using the flame from mine ...the light from mine is not diminished ;) it happens ...only the shadow knows ;)))) love and peace my new found friend!

I read the poem before I read the description.

It evokes emotion and I reread a few times to try and understand (this is more about me, it takes me a while to think things through). It felt like loss of some sort, a child, a lover, maybe the loss of ownership when you put your writing into the world and then someone else reads into it their interpretation.

After reading the description the poem changes, it is still very emotive and flows better. The line about 'death may do us part' has a good rhythm, it feels like I need to think on that some more to understand how death will expose the deceit.

Now for the most unhelpful bit of the review - I really liked it, thanks for sharing.

"Death may do us part.." exposes the deceit in the sense that when the true writer dies, the copy cat lost its base and will not be able to write.
