When Love Just Isn't Enough...

 

So softly does your hair brush my cheek

And your whispers caress my ear

But somehow I do not think

There will be a way I won’t fall

“Forever in my arms,” you promise.

But still I think there is doubt

Lying somewhere inside me

Undecided and unacknowledged

It’s all I need to reassure me that here

I do not belong.

So many nights I questioned my value

And now I am aware.

Because love just might not be enough

To keep me from Despair.

Slowly Reality wakes me from the dream

I had for so long lived.

Coarsely your hair scratches my cheek

And your whispers turn into screams.

I can’t take this anymore,

And that’s why I’ve decided to leave…

This poem really had a huge impact on me after when I completed reading it.
I simply LOVED it...its so heartbreaking and yet so beautiful and SAD...sad till the core and indeed it touched every part of me.
"Forever in my arms," you promise.
But still I think there is doubt - This line was really beautiful, often people promises to be together till forever, forgetting the fact that....forever ever ends :(
I can't take this anymore,
And that's why I've decided to leave- Again, this has been very well penned and your words here concluded the entire write perfectly..
I loved this one, it is purely heartwrenchingly awesome..
I think so, it is your best till date....

wow...its true that when love isnt enuf and the relationship is nt the same..you gotta be brave enuf to leave....
but that isnt easy to do..yes you do love the person, but you fear so many things..like will u find someone like them again..wud that other person live with who you are things like that..
this poem really struck a chord and made me remember when i was in the same situation..where i too left.
