Inner Child

Inner Child

A Poem by Barmouth
"

My first attempt at poetry since grade school.

"
Strangled moans claw in dark recesses
Searing pain saved
For a more convenient place
Delve into those dark records
Find your way back to those lesser moments
The many
The drowning bits of blissful mediocrity
That you grasp at
With strangulation at your heels
Time abandoned best left
Choking
Smothered and silenced behind a bright eye
Here it is safely
Tucked and taped
Labelled for later use
