My Wispy Wonder

My Wispy Wonder

A Poem by emipoemi

My love is a wispy wonder!

Sublime but with ease torn asunder,

And long since has been waning under

The savage might

Of the ruthless plight

That casts its blighting bane

Like the rumble of thunder,

From whatever the blunder

I made to be going under

With much dismay,

In shades of grey,

And such a scathing pain,

Like my heart is in sunder,

Pinched and pillaged for plunder,

And left to be carried under

The wind and rain,

The world’s disdain,

 All spark regaining vain!

My love is a wispy wonder!

My love is a wispy wonder!

My love is a wispy wonder!

Much so that it’s going under!

My favorite aspects of this poem are your choice of ryhmes and the phrases you chose to repeat. Especially the repetition of “XX under”.

It’s fun to read through and say aloud because of how it flows. The only line that tripped me up was “I made to be going under”, because I had to read it a few times to connect it’s meaning, but that’s probably just my own faulty understanding.

Very much enjoyed reading it!
