Telephone

Telephone

A Poem by Emma Cathryn

I tried to call you,
but you didn't pick up.
The phone
it just kept ringing.
Ring.
... Ring.
Ring.
Make it stop,
I pleaded and pleaded.
In the end,
I couldn't hear your voice
on the other line.
It wasn't your choice,
but you let me die.
