Hardship Holes

Hardship Holes

A Poem by SLOVA
"

Piper and her problems.

"
Down in the alley is my cheapskate man
He tells me run as fast as you can
I keep the TV on but turn off the lights
Sirens in the dark keep me up all night

My man is a liar, a thug, and a cheat
He tells me not to shake hands with the people he meets
My man's as sweet, as strong as they come
But when Molly gets mad, he tells me to run

Run, babe, run babe, run
Run, babe, run babe, run

My man digs his holes
My man digs his holes
Tell me wait inside
Shut up, close the blinds
My man digs his holes

A interesting tale in the poetry. I wanted to read more. This poem would be a good lead for a story. You create situation and places. I like the thoughts and visions create by this poem. I had to read again. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
