Jacket Boy

Jacket Boy

A Poem by SLOVA

I'm gonna make you want to put your only suit on
Your best shirt on
Your father's cologne on
'Cause I'm gonna put my prettiest dress on
My favorite crayon
My mother's pearls on
For you

What we need
Is what we don't say
But I'll be sweet
When you ask me to stay

We only sleep
When we're awake
This is a dream
Make no mistake

I'll be your girl
If you'll be my boy
I'll tell you all those things and more
That you say make you feel adored
I adore you

You'll be my man
I'll be yours alone
But when you wake you'll stop and stare
Touch the sheets there's nothing there
This is a dream, honey

I'm not real, honey
It's make-believe, honey
You're just tied up, honey
