Hero?

Hero?

A Poem by Gordon
"

Questioning God

"

If my sky was falling,

would you grab it?

If death was calling,

could you stab it?

If I was drowning in my own tears,

would you save me?

If I were wilting in the desert,

could you show me the sea?

If I fell from the earth,

could your arms reach me?

If I forgot my way home,

could you teach me?

Or are you like every other man?

Pretending to hold the universe in hand.

Are you truly, everywhere, everything?

Infinity minus zero?

The pinnacle of all beings,

My supernatural hero?

I feel the sense of some soul searching had been raised into your midst as you wrote this poem. It is very well written and with questions rise more questions.
An infinity of possibilities.

I liked the questions and the rhyme scheme here - it made it flow so easily. no one can be everything to someone I don't suppose; but if you find the right heart and the right soul - the one that fits so completely with yours - it comes pretty damn close :-)
