"The Journey"

 

It’s getting cold on the way,

The journey is long, you’re miles away.

Through many countries, travelling alone,

Cannot wait to come back home.

The crowd around, lots of fun,

But I’m in the corner, hiding from the sun.

One would say I have everything I need,

Should shut my mouth and my life lead.

But here I am, going deep and down,

No need to rush, my heart should not run.

But I feel alone, I feel sad too,

Being miles away from you.

 

Many stars between us on the sky,

On the road, strangers passing by,

I look at them, I look in their eyes,

No one like you, my soul dies.

I thought I heard your voice,

I saw your smile, made a choice.

I wish to see you again, look into your eyes,

Cross a danger zone and no more lies.

I want to over race a shadow,

Be with you high and low.

In my mind I am, in every single thought,

Imagining your tone, - calm and soft.

Imagining the last moment we were in,

I want again on your shoulder lean...

I keep my heart open for you,

Be aware of it, whatever you do.

I know I cannot stand next to your side,

That is obvious, that is life…

But the time has come, to choose the other way,

And fly like a falcon, far, far away.

With a courage for unknown,

And bonfire heart carrying a heavy stone.

Remember, we had fun together,

It’s a memory for forever.

You touched my soul,

Too much to just easily close the door. 

Hope we will meet again one day,

No more words needed, no more I should say.

Just silence, it’s not a lie,
