A Poem by black.butterfly

Walking on darker colors,
I see you from afar, lights.
Where we were & where we are,
we are somehow still connected.

Drifting away from you,
I call out your name, lights.
I pen it down recollecting it all,
your eyes & your words.

What are you, lights?
Shining bright through that crystal.
Are you a lover, a friend or a stranger?
For all I know, you are inside me.

Breaking into a thousand pieces, lights,
you greet my soul by breathing.
You release me, you save me!
by showing me the brighter colors.

your last stanza is beautiful

Posted 3 Years Ago

As I read this, I pictured someone gazing through a crystal ball, trying to call their lover. Wondering where they are. Distance can make or break a relationship. I just hope those who do long distance are willing to be strong enough to handle it. Many can't as well as me, I've tried them a few times. Love takes two, not one person.

Simply beautiful. It reminded me of music. Something we feel yet can't touch. Very well penned. ^_^
