This Series Could Get Ugly

An article/story about the Stanley Cup Finals

It seems as if the Washington Capitals set the tone of the Stanley Cup Finals last night.

In a 6-4 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, the Capitals made two controversial hits in the third period.

This series is probably going to get physical now.

After the two hits, the tension was starting to rise.

Also, the series is probably going to have a few goals or more.

Last night, there was 10 goals scored.

 It won't surprise me if this series go seven games.

That is not how you write a column about sports. Or anything really.

For example: Your second line is fine until it ends without any kind of elaboration. You don't mention the players involved or anything beyond the bare minimum. Not even a single mention of Tom Wilson. And you make the assertion "the series is probably going to get physical now" without any type of qualification. Again, without any mention of Tom Wilson's dirty play. I mean, seriously, I've played 1990's era video games with more in depth commentating than that.


And the true mark of "blah" comes after line 5... "a few goals or more"... but you make no mention Ovechkin or any other goal scorer from either team.

In your "about me" you say that you have a degree in sports journalisim... yeah... after reading this - I'm calling bullshit on that.

That wasn't my point. My point was that this isn't a "column" as you call it because there just isn't any legit information to reinforce your points. It reads like you just took some obvious talking points off an ESPN broadcast. Like the other reviewer said... "But isn't this a post best suited for Twitter or something similar?"

I understand that this might upset you but sometimes the truth hurts; but if you take it maturely it can help you improve toward becoming more like what you are trying to project yourself as.

And as an aside... why did you feel the need to tell me that you check your grammar online? I made no mention whatsoever about your grammar. I'm starting to think that maybe not all your dogs are barking.

um, yeah. I totally agree.But isn't this a post best suited for Twitter or something similar? anyway... Yes, it should be a good battle. Can't believe an expansion team has gotten this far. I can't say I'm a fan of either team, though, but I can't help but love Ovechkin and Fleury.
