Black Breeze

Black Breeze

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

Written for the group Shades Of Darkness.

"
All Hallow's Eve, the day of the dead
in the dawning shadows of night hope bled
the iron gate to Hell was shred open wide
the spectres of the damned bloomed a blood tide
the angels upon the Earth could do no more than weep
the black magic of Hell spectres oceans too deep
each human body felt them crawl deep within
the Earth became a blood zone flooded with sin
our eyes took on an unearthly black glow
our skin turned marble white and fangs did grow
black leather became the fashion, wrapped tightly to flesh
sex and blood became our cravings, sin and bleedings always fresh
the jack o' lanterns and black decorations forever hung with care
the black breeze of Nosferatu to eternally ensnare

A very dark and chilling poem. Very vivid and alive in the descriptions used. A spooky Halloween poem and one must be glad for that, because otherwise all this
would be true. But then, maybe it is. A superb dark horror Halloween poem. I really do enjoy reading your outstanding work Eric. :)

I really like poems about days like All Saint`s Day, or as here All Hallow`s Eve,
days full of magic and mystery, and you worked this theme very well here, good one.

Brutal, dark magic dances through the shadows of this world... Your flow and rhythm just stir this all to life in autumn's flavor!
