Hollowed Light

Hollowed Light

A Poem by Eric Cox

The Earth- a wasteland of hollow light
for those shrouded in cold and plight
Human health gnawed by human greed
dead mercy as crying within to be freed

Where's the healing grace of compassion
suncasting souls to shine rays of elation
Find it not here for few are so lucky
the worth of lives lost in a dark symphony

You best grasp within the realization
the road to Hell is paved with bad intentions
