Haunting Pain

Haunting pain some of us feel
from wounds that won't heal
no one should feel this pain
all it brings life is rain
whether physical and/or mental
it robs lives of being full
it can be impossible to rise above it
to let our thoughts and moods not be bit
because it is so often there
trying to rip and tear
haunting pain plays a dark role
knawing into our lives like a hole
haunting pain no one should feel
we all deserve to heal
we need this scarring pain to die
so the tears in our souls will dry
if only help would come to end each plight
we need a rainbow cutting through the night.

Physical pain that we know will never end in this time we are here on this earth can sometimes cause such emotional distress but we can look around and it seems there is always someone with an even worse burden they must bear. Our families and friends even though they can't feel our pain are there to help to lighten our load. Thanks for writing this Ghost, I understand never ending pain. Take care.

Wonderfully written! Think there has been a time when we all have felt bewitched by pain deep enough where this haunting pain leaves us with scars, but if not for the scars we wouldn't remember how we have pushed passed those haunting nights, to see the day :)

Yes the death of my dog has been a haunting pain for me. I think about him constantly. I miss him so much. Especially at night he used to sleep with me.
