a slight disturbance

a slight disturbance

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a slight disturbance

dust mites

soul mates

to the breeze

as it rearranges the evidence

that she was once here

love is a "Pledge"

and that end table may rediscover its shine

but will never again cast her reflection

in the pain stained wood,

And pledge is over rated...
Dust with just a cloth-and love fills the air landing fleetingly
Dust love with a damp rag and it ,well it molds
How about letting the dust alone? Let it build on the table
No one will have a reflection but love will have a forever home
You can write names in it -dust mite memories

'A slight disturbance''
erin cilberto,
Well this was one more reminder that nothing stays the same in this life. I think that being able to bend with these changing winds takes great courage. Relationally as in this poem it speaks to the pain of your 'slight disturbance.' That was different. Well thanks for the openness once again within your ability to share the difficulties in this life with just a little grace which softens.
Bless you as always,
Kathy

Terrific and clever word play here, my friend....

Those nicks and scars and signs of age in a table are the battle scars of its life, add to a different kind of luster....

So it is with love.

How bittersweet. You can polish it up, but it probably won't ever be the same as it was when it was new...

A nice write jacob So many material things like wood tables, furniture and walls all have stories to be told if only lol. Yes dust mites would rearrange the microscopic litter we create, a little meal!

You are welcome, there may be no reflections but we are left with impressions!
I loved the thought of dust mites being soulmates to the breeze, it couldn't get much better than that

a very fitting title, what is love if it doesn't give some chills, or a sour after taste..... a marvellous write Jacob.

Oh.. how beautiful romantic & philosophical words you've used to please even your own write with romanticized words. Lovely, it's to read such pieces that directly comes from the bottom of writers' hearts & dapple the tints of love-incenses 'pon worlds. Excellent work!
