A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

conceptual inflection

derivative pleasure,

the root of contextual touching

lips of connotation

reaching for stars of consequence

fingers interloping in several languages

there is sequential theme

one voice of love

it's felt rather than heard,

and she is all the meaning

i need

you have nailed it here, jacob.

there are no words which adequately describe what love feels like. poets over the ages have tried. some have even come close.

but you have told us that, try as we might, we can only feel it and not really describe or define it.

Always my pleasure Jacob! ~SP
The rhyme and reason of love … definitely an act of abstract thinking. Wonderful as always, Jacob.

...
It is felt in one universal language. I often find no words for what I feel, and then, I come here and read them :)

Once one takes a journey of discovering the word
and finds that it is so limited in nature and volume
to fill many pages and leave the heart a void

A sense of spirituality overtakes all rooms
to learn that truth of emotions
is a radiating warmth felt across words and letters

Monsieur Jacob .... bravo

I like what the fingers are doing in several languages. This is using words in a beautiful, almost mathematical way.

Here we are again, great lines (reaching for stars of consequence, she is all meaning), great theme all uncovered in a reader's dream.

Wow!

Regards,
Al

I missed this one, so I will retrospectively add a few lines. This is another example of the way Jacob binds emotions and semantics, and in this one even transcends language to show the universality of emotions.
Erudite, clever work.
