Breakfast Anomaly

Breakfast Anomaly

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Breakfast Anomaly

filaments of morning
foggy etchings of yesterdays
float in my cereal,
Alphabets that keep spelling out your name

with every spoonful of breath
i inhale.

**Proposed Alternate Title** "The Alfa-Bit Soup" (no charge for that) It always amazes me how you can take an innocuous topic like a bowl of alphabet cereal and twist it into a love story etc. One reason why you have books for sale on Amazon and I don't? Could be. Very nicely done, as usual. take care...dan

A lovely morning breakfast of memories that seems to last with every sunrise. The simple details that make a whole picture to emerge.

Bringing deeper meaning to "we are what we eat"...as we live and breathe. For you, it's all poetry, Jacob :)

I'd love to be able to give some insightful, eye opening review but I'm afraid beyond me that is.I always enjoy reading your works, more often than not they fly straight over my head, and you are unaware I've called because of this.Anyway, that said I enjoyed the read and will no doubt be back for further meals.

You're welcome. :)
Those foggy etchings of yesterdays....What a wonderful line Jacob. Evokes memories of the sweetness of the taste those thoughts once held, yet a warning to sniff the milk before pouring.
