A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

suicide softening

yesterday morning's frost
a glistening blanket covering earth's heart
with such beauty,
like a poet's imagination,

yet we know how she kills,
the unseen dagger
the translucent eyes
we indulge
open

then the frost
and our deflowered innocence
left decomposing

as we compose poems
of love and lust
knowing full well
what tomorrow's dawn will bring.

Powerful and amazing words my friend.
"as we compose poems
of love and lust
knowing full well
what tomorrow's dawn will bring."
The above lines. True and needed. Us people who love to write and read. Need reason and purpose to write. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.

Having been writing since school age I can sense the feelings in nature and life that bring words and thoughts for us to put down on paper. I am just thankful for all on the Café who share this with us. Valentine
