4 lines from a thaw

4 lines from a thaw

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

4 lines from a thaw

snowed in by your icy demeanor

slipping on your indifferent pavement

even my salty tears

can not steady my heart's step.

Jacob, love this one. Started to laugh as I read your words. Good one. Valentine

Thawing my brain from this winter freeze... Why does the lack of sunlight steal our loves? And we still have to make it through a few more months...

Love this!
So simple, and yet it speaks VOLUMES!

ha ha...thank you, ReedWrite...

Admire the poet's optimistic perspective; he might be forty lines from a thaw.
Clearly, this guy is not soon coming in out of the cold.
Excellent use of metaphors.
