what she wrote for him

what she wrote for him

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

what she wrote for him

she's a poet's rendering
his taste in musical feet
the iambics of soft locks drifting
out of rhyme,
but still flowing magnanimously
into his words,
her skin a palette
for the paradox of smooth soul

the beat encountered
is a kiss of longing
and the longevity of feelings
that will never dry on the canvass

of his heart.

You are the poet, the artist and the composer of this homage to grace and love personified. The muse is your inamorata. The poem is a tribute to her and to"the longevity of feelings that will never dry on the canvass". This is a song played beautifully on the heartstrings for all eternity. Bravo my friend!

i really appreciate your kind words,

The first stanza is so romantic and gentle...so sensual. The second is poignant and filled with intense longing. No, some memories are not disappearing. They are destined to be with us forever. Such a lovely write. Lydi**

you're welcome :)
I would love this to be some great female soul singer.
But i'll settle for the longing kiss, as long as soul music is playing in the background.

feelings that seem to last so long, like memories is what I am reminded of, strange how it is "longevity of feelings" I like that line!

Honest, lovely thoughts from one artist to another. Isn't that what we all wish for?
