the paradox of surprised flowers

the paradox of surprised flowers

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the paradox of surprised flowers

winter arrives

in tropical tempest

loveless faces

in a dry rain

shivering heat

arid investments of feelings

smiles melted in fake snow

a Hallmark scene written in expensive solitude

winter arrives

the movie version

of the truth

but none of the actors

believe

and we can only surmise

that spring will leave us

jilted dandelions

with insufficient postage.

I love writes and writing around nature and this is wonderful. Always a pleasure to read what you write and wish I had more time to keep reading right now but will back. Thanks for this little treat.

Ah! the human nature is affected by weather too, and many feel desperate in Autumn and Winter, here I hear a call from You, that even through them You can feel the warmth of blooming Spring flowers, for those who can feel and see the really beauty of Winter, Your poem reminded of a day we had two years ago, in January, after a cold rain storm ended, the next day suddenly was so unexpectedly so warm! that even the walls were sweating from the warmth after the cold, it was really just a day of Spring in January, I remember I wrote a poem being inspired by it.

Thank You, for another nice and heartfelt poem, enjoyable to read.
