photo-shopped

photo-shopped

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

photo-shopped

illusive exposure

your lips shaded, then sun invaded

mine meeting yours in moonlight

we stand confirmed

against a slight starry breeze

holding tightly our inhibitions

wishing we could easily express

with skin reflexes, what the mind projects

intimate conversation framed in negatives

that need physical fruition

to turn to positives...

as the picture endeavors

to tell the story---

This poem was fantastic. I especially love the line that says, "with skin reflexes, what the mind projects". Never stop writing.

Sparks are flying in this one. Inhibitions be damned! When the skin feels it, it is time to not only tell the story, but play a part in it. I liked this one a lot. Lydi**

...amazing poem, i’m always in awe of your gift for words...
use of your phraseology &
and brilliant execution of every poem you shared with us.

there’s always a unique element in your imagery that mesmerizes the reader

a wild imagination (totally agree)...can shatter hopeful hearts when, we have no choice but to adjust our cameras & focus on the reality of situations.

I love all of the photography imagery and vocabulary used in this piece... You set it up well with the perfect title: "Photo-shopped." The software creates illusions of perfections and erases and blurs the flaws... but I can also see how you split the word: "shopped" and how you were shopping, looking for, hunting for, desiring this woman.. wanting it to be physical and real. I like that a lot... these illusions can play with us, creating fantasies of the mind... they may exist only there, but if they actually manifested them into the physically tangible space, would they be the same? Could they be as exquisite as our wild imaginations?
