A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

an inkling

write me a perpetual letter

don't sign it,

ever

just keep the cursive lines straight,

no lies,

just the truth of love

let me catch the scent of you on the pages

i will fold them neatly

as i fold your feelings

within my heart

i will read you forever

if you write me a perpetual letter

don't sign it,

don't give me conclusion

ever.

One hopeful but frightened heart.
Apparently, even pretty lies will do.
An honest and eloquent bit of work!

thank you for your words, Jimmy.

You've written my voice... both wanting to have it, and wanting to do it, yes, the promise of love to a poet, between poets, must be like this... free and limitless, and yes, don't judge me, just feel me breathing into You with, through, and between my words.

gorgeous, emotional... sensitive as the heart of a true loving man and poet.

thank you for your insightful words, Light.

The letter is something tangible.
If you know it's personal, you treat it very carefully.
You never read it just the once.
At times you go back to it.
Especially if you're in dialogue with a special one.
I think as video killed the radio star.
Email killed the letter.

yes, for sure, on your last two lines...and so sad.
thank you, Paul.

I'll dog-ear the pages so I'll know where to find the part that broke my heart.

So utterly beautiful, Jacob.

I love this one.... :)
is it something about us , our hearts a bit more prone to feelings :P
or the rate at which we experience things are 10 times higher to the normal people lol
so we must be special ;)
mmmm love the idea of perpetual letter..
i wrote to someone... out of my love for love letters :P (u can say)
and what became of that god only knows ... some how made me wish i had not written it.. nor had i wasted my time composing it... but our heart has its own language isn't it .. does what it wants... always wished for a real letter... (never came too hard to ask for one in the age of emails :P)
