A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

orchestrating the moves

eccentric composer

mentally insane music

blaring from white walls

with Beethoven graffiti

smeared upon the notes

symphonic spray-painted illusions

accredited to the deaf poet of the strings

percussive persuasion

back seat conductor

shedding wares for a violin solo

she dances with his hands

and he loves her with "fur elise" intentions

tickling the ivory contours

of her deliciously debutante form

as the night falls out of favor with the moon

and cats yawn and stretch on back alley fences

while a city sleeps

within the grooves of youthful

renaissance----

Wonderful composition of a poem j. Your skillful metaphors waltz and soar as always. The rhythmic, perfect verses journey us from present to past to present in a musical homage to Beethoven. Second verse is a bright ‘pop’ of brilliant writing, imagery, alliteration, assonance. Young love dancing to the gentility of the Master’s “fur elise” “as the night falls out of favor with the moon”- we and the yawning cats bear witness to their magic.

My pleasure Jacob.
He loves her with "fur elise" intentions. We are talking Beethoven here, who I believe wanted to marry his elise, whoever she was. Orchestrating the moves, what a great title. Much to ponder on in this write which speaks to me of two completely different types of people. Great work Jacob.

thank you for your kind review, Chris.

Scholarly musical references--some of which, no doubt, escaped me.
Did enjoy vicariously "tickling the ivory contours/of her deliciously debutante form."
Overall, strikes me as a pretty damn fine piece of work!
