Rains and You

Rains and You

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Rains and You

you are as intermittent

with your love,

as cumulus

that hide the sun's feelings

and darken the mood

into Sirius reckoning

the inconsistent climate

of you

forecasts forehead kisses

splattered with goodbye tears

and the fear of that

is to fear the storm

in eyes

showing no compromise

just threatening intent.

When the kisses are not received as intended, you are headed for a dead end. Emotions run hot and cold in some people and you can never be sure where you stand. Time to run when you find yourself dealing with this sort of situation. Lydi**

Fickle women are not easily forecasted. Still, we chase the storm, knowing it might kill us. You seem to know the weather pattens well, J.

One sided relationships spring to mind here Jacob. Inconsistency and shadow. Love the metaphor you have used. Those clouds are surely threatening.

I've always felt that a sometimes love is a relationship of disloyalty. That kind of one-sided love takes and takes but returns little. The weather metaphor aptly conveys that always unbalanced state of being in love with a sometimes love.

Love and weather, that correlation alone could produce a full series of poems and its hidden intent. I loved it

This kind of an unpredictable and inconsistent love eventually kills a relationship. The perpetrator never lets up and the victims eventually get tired and give up. Superbly used analogy here. I sadly have been guilty of being the threatening, brooding cumulus all too often. Thank you for this gem, it’s so relatable.

feels like there's a storm brewin .... N
Put two of these Titan clouds together and the clash can be heard for forever, it could have something to do with courage. The building up of such that makes those clouds intermittent, the quiet before the storm

seems we have had too much rain is our lives Jacob.... and as a result we become better weathermen than the ones on tv with all their maps and radars and equipment, etc.... if you want to know the weather, just ask a poet.... I like that line, "in Sirius reckoning", a nice play on words there Jacob.... I think I will dub you WC's official weatherman of love/relationships... Siriusly!!! ;0)
