I Like the Way This LooksA Poem by Erin ThomasA poem of irony.I like the way these words look as I plaster to the page: Thinks and thoughts as metaphors representing sage, Lavender, and roses. Please forgive my craftsmanship As I pour out all the memories and do not crack the whip. I remember, remember the 4th of November, A day in the scrapbook so close to December. Close, but not right, this rhyme makes no sense. I will ponder and think and wait atop the fence. I like the way my poem looks when I have more than one stanza. And when my rhymes make me skip, we’re left with Of writing, art, and literature, forget the traditional ways. Poetry with awkward rhymes is set and ready to amaze. © 2012 Erin ThomasAuthor's Note
